iron REMARKS:Blacksmith's anvil used for pounding and shaping surface for metal working. Artifact was purchased by donor's husband, Eddie from the city of Glendale in the mid 1940's along with a forge, vice and a grinding stone, all for $25. These artifacts were used in the blacksmith shop in Glendale, when the town was called Julia. Glendale was incorporated in 1901. OBJECT DATE:ca. 1885 |
