REMARKS:Miscellaneous papers from Myron Edgar Wood and Dorothy Schuhr Wood, and a scrapbook of newspaper clippings concerning the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company's office in Roseburg.; Myron E. Wood was in the United States Army in World War II. This collection includes some official correspondence and copies of examinations concerning promotions within the Army. A separate folder contains income tax forms of Myron E. Wood from 1939, showing wages paid by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.; A scrapbook, apparently made from a Pacific Northwest Telephone Company logbook, contains newspaper clippings about telephone service in Douglas County during 1906-1908. The first page has a news article about the appointment of R.H.C. Wood as Roseburg telephone office manager, as well as announcement of a meeting to form a telephone company in Deer Creek.
