REMARKS:One of a series of scrapbooks compiled by George B. Abdill, first Curator (Director) of the Douglas County Museum. This scrapbook includes a gasoline credit card issued to George B. Abdill, as well as photographs of the Douglas County Museum when it was opened in 1970. There are color photographs of the dedication ceremonies, when Tom Vaughn (Executive Director of the Oregon Historical Society) split a rail with an axe (in lieu of the traditional ribbon-cutting) to open the Museum.
