REMARKS: This is an interview with eorge Wilcox. It takes place on September 18, 1978 at the home of Mr. Wilcox near Sutherlin, Oregon, and also present is Agnes, his wife. The interviewer is Star Eatherington.
In this interview Mr. Wilcox talks a great deal about his family history, he knows it quite well. He talks about the McGees who settled the farm where he now lives. He talks about his mother's family who were the Wilsons. He adds a whole lot to Addie Bryant's tape on William Wilson and William Eads. His scrapbook that has an eulogy to Mr. Eads, that tells his whole life story, is read on the tape by Agnes. In other parts of the interview, Mr. Wilcox talks about eaarly day farming and early day life. He talks about REA and how they got electrricity into the area after they got electricity into their house. About farming with animals and other interesting things of early day arming.
