REMARKS: This is an interview with Oscar Anderson. It takes place on April 10, 1978 in his home in Reedsport, Oregon. Also present is his wife. The interviewer is Star Eatherington.
In this interview Mr. Anderson talks about growing up in Gardiner, his experiences in living and growing by the sea. He talks about the first lighthouse in the area and how his father was on the first life saving crew that worked out in the lighthouse. He also talks about comercial fishing in the Umpqua and in the ocean. He talks about the industries in the area and the growth of the surrounding towns.
