REMARKS: This is an interview with Gladys Workman. It takes place on July 24, 1978 in the home of Mrs. Workman in Scottsburg, Oregon. The interviewer is Star Eatherington.
In this tape she talks about Scottsburg nd her experiences living there in Scottsburg. She has a very objective point of view because she cae a little later on in life in the '30s and she wrote a abook on it, "Only When I Laugh." She tells how she came to write this book, the process involved and what happened after she wrote it. she tells humorous little incidents about her life and she talks about the ceramic business and the daffodil business. She talks a alittle bit about her life in Los Angeles when she was a hostess for different parties that different movie stars gave before she moved to Douglas County in the '20s.
