REMARKS:Helene Brust was born in Germany, and lived in Chicago, Illinois ca. 1934. She arrived in Roseburg ca. 1938 with her husband Emil, a housepainter. She operated the Helene Brust Convalescent Home from a residence on Fowler Street in Roseburg, ca. 1945-1952. She also owned several rental properties in West Roseburg. Materials in this collection indicate that Helene Brust also acted as a court-appointed administrator for estates [possibly for individuals who had been residents of her convalescent home].; This collection includes legal papers such as mortgages, loan records, title abstracts, and invoices for repairs to various properties, as well as a copy of a last will and testament of Helene Brust drawn up in 1946. One document is in German, and is apparently a church family record for the Brust family in Germany.
