REMARKS:Company D, 162d Infantry, was the National Guard unit based in Roseburg, Oregon. This collection chiefly concerns mobilization of Company D into the U.S. Army in 1939 and 1940, for training at Vancouver Barracks, Washington.; Captain Robert Irving was in charge of Company D, and Victor Micelli was Chairman of the Roseburg Armory Board, according to documents in this collection. The collection includes two [2] copies of the 162d Infantry Mobilization Plan. One plan was issued in 1933, and one was a 1936 revision of the 1933 plan.
