REMARKS:Company D, 162d Infantry, was the National Guard unit based in Roseburg, Oregon. This collection chiefly concerns mobilization of Company D into the U.S. Army in 1939 and 1940, for training at Vancouver Barracks, Washington.; Captain Robert Irving was in charge of Company D, and Victor Micelli was Chairman of the Roseburg Armory Board, according to documents in this collection. The collection includes two  copies of the 162d Infantry Mobilization Plan. One plan was issued in 1933, and one was a 1936 revision of the 1933 plan.
