REMARKS:Approximately 20 years' worth of diaries by Margaret Arlene Myers, wife of James D. Myers. The early volumes show water damage from the 1964 flood, which covered much of the Myers' farm in the Garden Valley near the current site of River Forks Park.; The diaries are stored in large Hollinger boxes in the Halon Room. A folder containing certificates recognizing James D. Myers' achievements as member of the Douglas County Fair Commission and the Douglas County Housing Authority is filed in the Halon Room filing cabinet.; A collection of photographs concerning the 1964 flood and its aftermath in the Myers' vicinity is housed in a plastic folder with the certificates.
