REMARKS: This is with Irl Binder and it takes place in Elkton, Oregon, April 25, 1979. The interviewer is Valerie Sonnenberg.
Irl Bincer was born in Elkton, January 3, 1910 and his parents were Bessie Culy and John Binder. His father had a flour mill in Elkton--called the Elkton Roller Mill. He attended Elkton School District No. 34 and he tells some about what school was like. His father died when he was 7 years old and his mother remarried to Julius Repsleger who had a confecionary store in Elkton. Basically this interview is about the Elkton area, the local and the social history of that area.
