REMARKS:Three  copies of "The Silver Horde of the Umpqua", essay by H.F. Pearson about commercial fishing on the Umpqua River near Winchester. Also included in this collection are photocopies of letters from Pearson to George B. Abdill, 1965-1968, further discussing Pearson's commercial fishing activities. The essay was intended as an article for the Umpqua Trapper, a quarterly periodical about Douglas County history.; These items were cataloged in the Research Library as D-200, prior to 1988.
