REMARKS:Conditional sales contract between Bohemia Lumber Company and S.&L. Chapman Lumber Company, for a Smith & Watson donkey engine size 11 x 13. The engine was located in section 26 of Township 21 [WWM], Range 4 West. Sale price was $1,000. The main line on the donkey engine was excluded from the sale, and the line was to be transported to the Bohemia Lumber Company Mill at Culp Creek, Oregon, by the purchaser. S.&L. Chapman Lumber was also to remove "all of the remaining equipment in the above referred to logging camp, including a Washington Iron Works donkey engine (size 10x12) bu texcepting two old donkey engines located at the mill site, to any point on the Pacific Highway...."; The contract specified that Glen Cellers "or some operator agreeable to said Bohemia Lumber Company" would be secured to operate the donkey engine while it was being transported.; The contract is executed on letterhead stationery of Battery "E", 249th Coast Artillery, Oregon National Guard, and is signed by J.S. Magladry, President, Bohemia Lumber Company, and by Sherman Chapman and Leslie Chapman.
