REMARKS: This is an interview with Loson Winn, it takes place on Oct. 10, 1978, aaat Mexia's Pie Shop, just outside Canyonville, Oregon. The interviewer is Star Eatherington.
In this interview Mr. Winn talks about his life growig up in Douglas County He moved to the house next to the location where we talked when he was fourteen in 1911. His mother had a little inn there where she sold doughnuts and breads to the stagecoach as they came by. After Mr. Win got married, his wife Mexia took over the baking and they now have a pie shop in the same place. He talks about his experiences as a prune dryer for twenty years for Ed Weaver and talks about his different feelings toward his customers and his business.
