REMARKS: Interview with Wayne Crooch in his home in Roseburg, Oregon on June 18, 1979. A few comments by his wife Myra. The interviewer is Judy Roberts.
Mr. Crooch came from Colorado with his wife, at which time he was a newspaper printer. He went to work in Eugene, Oregon. Later he became a plumber. He tells a little bit about the plumbing apprenticeship. Mr. Crooch has been very active in the Chamber of Commerce and has received many awards for this. He was instrumental in the organization of the Toastmasters' Club, the Roseburg Paul Bunyan Club, and in getting the Umpqua Community College started and organized. He is still a board member of trustees of that college. He talks a great deal about UCC and some of the plans that the have for it and some of the things that they hope that this college will accomplish.
