REMARKS:Miscellaneous papers of Rev. Abbott Levi James Todd, formerly classified in file D-99. Rev. Todd was a minister and businessman who emigrated to Oregon from Indiana; his family was from North Georgia. These papers include:; a contract to teach in School District 13 [executed as a manuscript agreement],; an agreement between Todd and Joseph Boyd for Boyd's lease of farm land in Indiana [not dated, but executed while Todd resided in Indiana];; a license to Todd as a 2d class peddler issued by the Internal Revenue service in 1863;; a letter dated 1877 on the letterhead of the Tellurium Quartz Mining Company of Canyonville; and; an undated promissory note headed "a vow to the most high".; These materials are filed in a folder in the small manuscript collections file in the Halon Room.
