REMARKS:For Save Our Salmon, measure #312. Thiw was apparently a referendum on gill-net fishing. The artwork appears to be from the 1930's or 1940's.; The Southern Oregon Library Information Center [SOLIC] researched the idea of "Measure 312", and concluded that this was not an Oregon act or referendum. Sources at the Oregon State Archives said the measure number was too high for Oregon systems. Gillnetting was banned in Oregon by an act of the Legislature in 1926. The other possibilities are that this is a Washington State or California referendum, or that the number refers to Federal legislation.
