REMARKS:The Nichols family were prominent residents of Brockway, Oregon, a farming community near the town of Winston. The collection includes records of the Brockway store, which they ran for over ninety years (1894-1988), of the Brockway Post Office (1948-1953), of the Brockway School, 1908-1940, and of the Brockway-Dillard Telephone Company, 1907-1915. Also included is an account book of Whitsett, Thorpe, and Rowley saw mill which contains accounts ca. 1885 and personal accounts, possibly of some member of the Nichols family, 1897-1900.
