REMARKS:William Wade (1842-1923) was a Scottsburg, Oregon, saloon keeper, rancher, and blacksmith. His record book contains accounts of his saloon, 1883-1888, and personal accounts, including Smith River Ranch (the former Curtis Johnson Ranch), property purchased from Hinsdale heirs, and expenses of his daughter, Cara Wade. Superintendent's reports of missionary funds collected from the fourth grade of the Methodist Sunday School in Scottsburg for 1901 and 1906 are also included. The 1901 report is separate and laid in.
