REMARKS:Harris Ellsworth was U.S. Representative from the district that included Roseburg between 1944 and 1956. He was appointed chief of the U.S. Civil Service Commission by President Eisenhower for two years, 1957-1959. This collection contains primarily check stubs from his time in Washington, DC, between 1957 and 1959.
