REMARKS:Bianca Reed Hill (1850-1942) was the daughter of Donation Land Claimant Calvin C. Reed. She attended Umpqua Academy as a girl and later married William G. Reed. In her reminiscences she tells about her family's arrival in Oregon, about Umpqua Academy, and about the students' activities during the Civil War.; Found in B-100, O.C. Brown/Ella Hill Brown collection. MG7.3.4, Austin Mires speech, which is part of 68.35, was found filed in this collection. The collection contained other matierial which probably came in with 68.35, which was donated by C.C. Hill. If so, it was not entered in the deed of goft or accession book [note by KS 07/03/1991].
