REMARKS:Nomination form completed for the Umpqua/Eden archaeological site, requesting its placement on the National Register of Historic Places. The Umpqua/Eden Site is the subject of several archaeological investigations that "revealed evidence of substantial occupation including semisubterranean pithouses, indicating that this ste was a prehistoric village. The Umpqua/Eden Site probably corresponds to the Lower Umpqua Indian village of Tk'-mi-ye' or Takimiya."
