REMARKS:Papers of O.C. Brown and Ella Hill Brown. Materials relating to Umpqua Academy were removed to MG7 by Kathleen Stavec. O.C. Brown was Superintendent of Schools for Douglas County in the 1920's and 1930's. He was also a turkey grower in the Oakland-Fair Oaks area, and was active in local and reigonal turkey-growers' associations. Ella Hill Brown was a descendant of Fleming R. Hill of Wilbur. This collection contains papers relating to O.C. Brown's professional activities, and to the Hill family history.
