REMARKS:Carbon copy of typescript prepared by Perit Huntington, Sr., of Sisters, Oregon, in 1960. Huntington describes boyhood recollections of Yoncalla, Oregon, ca. 1892-1925. He also recounts stories of travel by wagon train on the Oregon Trail, as told by his aunt, Lucy Applegate. He names principal merchants in town, and discusses the significance of prune orchards and settlement by Civil War veterans in the Yoncalla area.
