REMARKS:Copy of memorandum from Betty Mack, Douglas County Planning Department, explaining the Department's justification for approving demolition of the Roaring Camp Bridge. The Planning Department's argument was that all reasonable steps had been taken to preserve the bridge and, since the bridge was neither County nor State property [and no funding was available to assist the property owners in restoring/repairing the bridge], no further alternatives were available.
